A stunning and rare find! This textile is a wonderful , late 1800s European scarf / Fichu. It originates in either France or perhaps its Dutch? ~ This fichu was folded and half and worn around the neck with the V facing down the back ~ this is a RARE and fabulous indigo blue fichu! ~ There is a wonderful hand stitched hem on the 2 sides and the other sides are selvage, it was a hand woven cloth ~and the sides are hand stitched with a tiny hem! ~*~ 100% hand block printed and resist dyed. A RARE beauty. Medium to heavy weight cotton ~*~ A stunning textile!
